Help for Julie (Legner) Anderson

I just flat out stole this off the Facebook Group page, but I thought I would post it here in case there are any non-facebooking classmates out there who look at this page.

Julie Legner Anderson, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on July 19, 2008, leaving her unconscious and in a coma for several weeks. We later found out this was caused by an arterio-venous malformation (AVM) that has probably been in Julie's brain since birth, but no one knew about it. She is now out of her coma and slowly recovering. Doctors predict she will need 24/7 care for 12-18 months. This site will help pay for additional therapy she requires, beyond what her insurance will pay for.

OK so here's how this works. Everyone buys stuff online at some point in time. What this site does, is it provides you with a huge list of online vendors (like ebay, tigerdirect, newegg, bestbuy, etc... hundreds of them), that will link you to those individual sites. Once you load up that individual online store and buy something though, iGive.com matches a certain percentage of the total you paid for whatever item you bought for yourself, and donates it to our Julie's trust to pay for medical costs not covered by insurance... without you paying anything...

Quite literally, it's a site you sign up for that provides you with an online list, or "Mall" of hyperlinks to online stores that you probably have already used... By using that list instead of just typing in "ebay.com" in your browser's address window, you set up iGive.com to track your purchase and consequently donate a percentage of that purchase price to the team. It's a great way to support the team, and it requires literally nothing from you other than maybe an additional 15 seconds to complete your typical online purchase. Do it.

Here's the link to start using iGive:http://www.iGive.com/julielegneranderson

P.S. If anyone would like to make a direct contribution, checks should be made out to "Disc. Inter Vivos Irrev. Dis. Trust FTBO Julie M. Anderson" and mailed to Joe Legner (Julie's Dad/Trustee), c/o M.K. Borucki, 372 Summerfield, Westland, MI 48185.

Thanks so much to the NHS class of '88 for your generosity. Your support means so much to Julie and her family. Your recent group donation of $1000 will help pay for some additional therapy beyond what her insurance will pay for. Many of you have also signed up for iGive.com and it is also much appreciated.

Thanks for your financial and emotional support through this difficult time. You are a beautiful group of people!

Peace and blessings,

Kathy (Legner) Sipple,
Julie's Sister & NHS class of '84 alum
