Jenny Nieuwkoop Update

Since graduation, I have spent many years working full time in various administrative postions. Sitting behind a desk got old though, so I made a career change and became a flight attendant for the regional division of Northwest! Travel was fun but definetly tiring.

I have been married for almost 3 years, of which we have spend the last 2 years living outside of Ft Worth. Our move took me out of the travel business and I have been fortunate enough to have a part time career from home. Love the flexibilty!!!

My husband is a Ford employee, which is what brought us to Texas. We won't be here much longer though. Ford is relocating us once again, back to Big 10 country!!!

With that being said, our summer plans have gone a little haywire. The relocation is taking us to Eau Claire, Wisconsin at the end of July, therefore I will be unable to attend the fun!! and I am sad to miss it.... I do hope everyone enjoys the day reconnecting and enjoying Northville once again!!

Denise Akroush's Update

Personal Update…….I spent 5 years at Wayne State University (lived at home in Northville; paid my way through) and graduated in 93 with a major in Finance – Investments. I found myself at Lear Corporation, in its Finance Department for 4 years (where I met my husband, Allan) and was lucky enough to find my dream job at Merrill Lynch in 97, where I’ve been a Financial Advisor ever since.

Family Stuff……Allan and I moved to Auburn Hills (Rochester border) in 1999, where we’ve been raising our family. We have 3 crazy but wonderful boys (ages 5, 7, 8) and a new baby girl (4 mos). I am extremely fortunate to be able to maintain my career and be a mom too! My only sister lives in Florida now, with her 2 girls and new baby boy and my parents live in Cincinnatti for now – until retirement.

Looking forward to……..I can’t wait to see everyone, both those with whom I had a great friendship as well as those I barely knew. I have a lot of great memories, but it will be nice to hear about those that I don’t quite remember. I would love to see Sue Duncan, Jen Braasch, Tom Whalen to name a few.

Favorite thing....Lying in bed Saturday morning snuggling with all my kids!

Carrie, I won't leave you hanging...

Updates-- I spent four fun years at Michigan State (the diploma came a few years later). My first career choice was to be an Air Force pilot. That fell by the wayside and I stumbled into Criminal Justice. I have spent the last 16 years as a cop. I am a golfer (not a particularly good one though) and I enjoy shooting guns (go figure). Still living and working here on the wild-wild-west side of Metro Detroit.

Family Stuff-- Four maniacs are currently in charge of running my life. My ex-wife no longer has that privilege (I was going for humor there, by the way). They are 9, 7 and twin 5 year-olds. Three girls and a boy. They will be at the picnic and I will have pictures that evening. Feel free to tell me how good looking and well behaved they are, that never gets old. Even if you have to lie about the behavior part... My baby sister still lives in the area and she has 9 and 6 year old munchkins. Folks still live in Northville when they aren't hanging out in southern Florida.

Looking Forward To-- Seeing everyone's kids at the picnic and trying to figure out who they belong to. Having a few choice cocktails that night and hearing/telling a ton of stories/lies.

Updates Since High School

I moved to NYC ten + years ago to work for The New York Public Library. Started out as a reference librarian and now I am a suit. My favorite thing to do is to walk around my neighborhood and people watch.

Family Stuff

I have a three year old named Ava and a husband named Jeffrey. We live in the city in an apartment building one block from a great park. My parents and sister are still in Northville. My sis has three boys.

There are so many people I would like to see. I hope that Jenny Braasch comes. I always liked her. Todd Berlinski, I hope you come so you can help me open my locker! Keith G., Jeff H., and I can get arrested again.
